Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, (D-11 District) toured the County College of Morris (CCM) campus on Tuesday, March 19th, to learn about the various programs, tools and resources the college provides to ensure its student’s success. Students, faculty, local representatives and CCM President, Dr. Anthony J. Iacono guided Sherrill through the many advanced facilities on the campus such as, the college’s engineering lab, nursing facilities, music technology center, art gallery, and media center and informed the congresswoman of the college’s successful rates of employed graduates in nursing fields as well as its expanding of health, engineering and manufacturing programs on the campus.
Joining Congresswoman Sherrill on the tour were Randolph Mayor Jim Loveys and Township Manager Stephen Mountain, Morris County Chamber of Commerce President Meghan Hunscher, CCM Trustee Chair Paul Licitra and Trustees Jeffrey Advokat and Barbara Hadzima. Sherrill concluded the tour by speaking with CCM student leaders, answering their questions about state and national issues and sharing her positive impressions of the school’s efforts in advancing education opportunities for its students.
