On Friday, March 15th, Randolph Middle School was presented with the School to Watch award, a designation awarded to 10 schools within the state of New Jersey. The 2019 Schools to Watch designation recognizes Randolph Middle School’s effective and excellent standards of work practiced by teachers and staff, as well as the effectiveness of the many academic programs, support services, and extra-curricular activities provided.
New Jersey Schools to Watch, a program supported by the New Jersey Association for Middle-Level Education (NJAMLE), focuses on utilizing the criteria of the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. The schools chosen for this distinction are recognized for their educational practices and continued journey towards success and must meet criteria in four areas; academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures. According to Gail Hillard-Nelson, the Schools to Watch State Co-Director, Randolph Middle School excelled in all four areas.
