On Wednesday, February 23, the Morris County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to allocate an additional $5 million in funds to the Morris County Small Business Grant Program.
The program is designed to aid local small businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profits with specific pandemic recovery expenses incurred on or after Thursday, March 3, 2021, and will provide grants valued up to $15,000 to reimburse eligible costs.
Since the launch of the program’s online application portal on Monday, February 14, 2022, over 370 small businesses and non-profits within the county have submitted applications.
In an effort to establish further outreach about the program, representatives of the Morris County Small Business Grant program, the Morris County Board of Commissioners, and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a free “town hall” to provide a demonstration on the online portal and provide assistance to those seeking to submit applications. The town hall will be held on Monday, February 28, at 10 a.m. at the La Casa Del Sabor Restaurant at 19 North Main Street, Wharton, NJ.
