CCM Recognized as a National Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity

On Monday, November 28, 2022, the County College of Morris (CCM) announced that the academic institution was reissued a designation from the National Security Agency (NSA) for the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity accolade.

The prestigious designation is presented every five years to institutions offering cybersecurity curriculum that meets national standards, contributes to the provision of professionals who specialize in preventing and protecting against cybersecurity attacks, and serves as a community resource for information on cyber security.

The NSA’s designation will remain in effect through the 2027 Academic Year. CCM’s Center for Cyber Security was established in 2015 to provide students, faculty members, and the community with access to training resources, certification programs, and share-time programs with the Morris County Vocational School District and local high schools.

The NSA’s designation announcement noted that the college’s ‘ability to meet the increasing demands of the Academic Excellence in Cyber Security program would serve the nation well in contributing to the protection of the National Information Infrastructure.’
