Morris-Sussex-Warren Workforce Development Board Rebranding

On Thursday, February 23, the Morris-Sussex-Warren Workforce Development Board announced the rebranding of its organization under the name Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey (WDBNNJ). The board’s goal is to promote awareness about the regional services the entity offers to residents and businesses in the tri-county areas. WDBNNJ works to plan, provide policy guidance, and oversee the workforce development systems within Morris, Sussex, and Warren County. The board promotes employment and training opportunities and caters to job-seekers and employers through its support services and programs. 

Most notably, the WDBNNJ oversees three full-service One-Stop Career Centers. The centers provide valuable resources for job seekers, such as:

  • Eligibility Determination
  • Outreach, Intake, and Orientation
  • Assessment
  • Job Search and Placement Assistance
  • Career Counseling
  • Literacy Training
  • Career Planning
  • Job Fairs

Additionally, the centers’ function as sources for employers to find beneficial and affordable training opportunities, such as:

  • Recruitment/Screening
  • Referral/Job Matching
  • Labor Market Information
  • Regulatory Compliance Assistance
  • Business Resource Centers
  • On-the-Job Training
  • Federal Bonding
  • Employee Training

The WDBNNJ Board is dedicated to advocating for workforce development system stakeholders to meet the needs of local businesses and consumers. The board’s rebranding will further promote its tri-county reach and communicate its mission to maximize the efficiency and interests of Northwest New Jersey’s labor market, and consumer expectations, and exceed federal and state performance standards.
